The neon was initially made in 2022 and the final piece was created in 2026 for the New Mexico Glass Arts Festival.

These three pieces were united into a single installation using a custom mirrored mount that reimagines the prism. The tubes reflect off the mirrored surface behind them, while shards of glass embedded within the larger tubes catch and scatter the light traveling through them. For all that we try to understand and control light, which is, in many ways, what glass as a medium has been attempting for centuries, it remains stubbornly unpredictable. The "crackle" effect inside these tubes is in constant flux: as the glass shifts, the charged particles are forced to find new paths, refracting endlessly around the shards. The piece is never quite the same twice.
